*For Immediate Release*
November 17, 2025
The board and staff of Prince George Folkfest Society are delighted to announce the lineup for Coldsnap 2026. The 19th annual Coldsnap – the prince george winter music festival will take place from February 4th to 8th, 2026. This marks our second year presenting a five-day festival format, and audiences can expect amazing live music events in a variety of venues across Prince George every day and night of the festival!
The festival schedule and lineup of exceptional performers are now available on our website and will be updated as we finalize all the details. The excitement starts on Wednesday, Feb 4th at Knox Performance Centre with Woven in Song. The exceptional roots and folk artistry of BC Hall of Fame Pioneer (and Coldsnap Alum!) Linda McRae is joined by the unique, classically trained indie-folk stylings of Aleksi Campagne, whose soulful melodies will warm hearts regardless of the temperature outside!
Four jam-packed days later, we will close the festival with Rural Roots on Sunday Feb 8th. Prepare for an intimate and moving evening featuring four-time Juno winners and world-renowned artisans Pharis & Jason Romero, whose deep connection and exquisite banjos offer a moving journey through rural life. They will be joined by the thoughtful Canadiana sounds of Sarah Jane Scouten. The rest of the fest will feature artists from across Canada with the likes of Brianna Lizotte, FONTINE, Garret T. Willie, Jesse Roper, Morgan Toney, Sam Tudor and more!
The crowd-pleasing “Coldsnap For Kids” returns with two (bilingual!) afternoon performances. We will go on a musical adventure of rap & soul with Missy D on Saturday, Feb 7th, followed by a joy-filled afternoon with Beppie on Sunday, Feb 8th. These performances will be truly magnifique!
Night Owls can prepare to join us at our Late Nights at the Legion! Thursday, Friday and Saturday will have everyone stomping along to wild rockabilly/avant-country, multi-sensory spectacles and glitter-drenched yacht-pop swagger. Our free-to-attend, daytime IceJam and Workshop series also returns at a variety of venues in Downtown PG. These events make Coldsnap one of the most anticipated cultural events of the year. More information on those will come in the New Year!
This is your reminder to grab your Coldsnap 2026 Festival Pass while supplies last! The festival pass includes admission to ALL Mainstage Concerts at the Knox Performance Centre and the Late Nights at the Royal Canadian Legion. These are available in limited quantities so get ‘em while they’re hot! Individual tickets for all of the Coldsnap 2026 mainstage shows are also now available online.
