Coldsnap Presents Concert Series Returns with Dan Mangan, Blue Moon Marquee and Catherine MacLellan

Prince George, BC – May 1, 2026 – The Prince George Folkfest Society is excited to announce a vibrant concert series at the Knox Performance Centre, showcasing a diverse range of musical talent from across Canada! This series promises to deliver unforgettable evenings of music, featuring poignant indie-folk, the foot-stomping blues, and heartfelt songwriting.

Dan Mangan - September 12, 2026
Dan Mangan is a 2x JUNO Award-winning and 3x Polaris Music Prize-nominated musician and songwriter (and Coldsnap alum!) Dan returns to Prince George as part of the cross-Canada National Light Tour. The ninth studio album for Mangan, Natural Light was released in 2025 and marks a return to folk music’s classic underpinnings of political resistance. A return to writing “song songs” that might be played around a campfire. Mangan has experimented rigorously with his sound over the years, but resting in his roots may be where he operates most effortlessly.
Blue Moon Marquee - November 7, 2026
Blue Moon Marquee write and perform original compositions influenced by anything that swings, jumps or grooves. A.W. Cardinal (vocals/guitar) and Jasmine Colette (Jasmine Ohlhauser) a.k.a. Badlands Jass (vocals/bass/drums) have played for a vast gamut of crowds at jazz clubs, lindy hop dance halls, folk venues, blues haunts, hospitals, prisons, markets, motorcycle joints, dive bars and prestigious festival stages. The result of 9 years of rigorous crisscrossing Europe and North America is a distinct energy & style from this acclaimed duo.
Catherine MacLellan - March 27, 2027
Catherine MacLellan has been captivating audiences around the world with her music for over two decades. Born and raised in the idyllic province of Prince Edward Island, Catherine's songs reflect her deep connection to the land and the people that call it home. Through it all, Catherine remains committed to the craft of songwriting and the art of connection. Whether she's playing to a packed theatre or an intimate gathering, Catherine's warm presence and heartfelt music create an unforgettable experience for all who hear her.
