The Interstellar Jays

The Interstellar Jays rise from the compost pile of musical decomposition to bring you a galactic tea of old tyme, klezmer and ska.  Fiddle driven and bass powered, this Cariboo four-piece embraces the bush experience in all its music, yet still ventures into town for a good time.  The Jays’ refreshing selection of tunes and their commitment to groove is specifically designed to enhance the bounty of your mental garden.

Started by brothers Joshua and Michael Hanson in 2015 in their hometown of Prince George, Redwhyn write and record their all original music, which they both sing.  Michael works his magic on his ‘home’ instrument, bass, Joshua weaves the melodies with electric guitar, and talented local friends fill in. They are recording  their first album, a self-titled EP, with the help of Wooden Fish Studio and Behind the Hat Productions.

Eric Welscher-Bilodeau

A regular trespasser of the local music-scene since 2012, Eric has had the honour of sharing the stage with many of Prince George’s most treasured songwriters and musicians.
