Christine Tassan et les Imposteures
A gypsy jazz quartet, Quebec’s Christine Tassan et les Imposteures have more than enough fire, creativity, and technical ability to play with the best in this demanding genre. Les Imposteures are primarily influenced by the spirit of Django Reinhardt but have seamlessly incorporated influences ranging from Cuban jazz to Québécois folk music into their dynamic and intoxicating repertoire.
Les Chauffeurs à Pieds
Emblematic folk music from Quebec. The four chauffeurs are also vocalists witha fair number of songs up their sleeve. They have inherited the vocal timbres and unique way of singing of the elders who taught them. This legacy includes an impressive repertoire of traditional songs.
Opening Ceremonies with the French Connection
From le Cercle des Canadiens Français de Prince George.
