How to Vote for Coldsnap in the CBC Searchlight Contest

by Andrew Kurjata on February 6, 2010

We’ve been getting a few questions about how to vote in the CBC Searchlight contest, so here’s a little step-by-step

*NOTE: you can also make nominations by Tweeting @cbcradio3 or emailing feedback@cbcradio3.com, but traditionally in these contests you need a Radio 3 account in order to vote once nominations are in, so it may be worthwhile to do that now*

1. If you haven’t already, create an account with CBC Radio 3 by going here:

http://radio3.cbc.ca/membersignup

It doesn’t cost anything to be a member, but you do get to make playlists, leave comments, and vote in contests like this one. You can find Coldsnap’s CBC Radio 3 member page here: http://radio3.cbc.ca/#/profile/ColdsnapFest

2. Once you’re all signed up, you can make a nomination. You do that by leaving a comment on this blog post:

3. Once they have the list of nominees, they’ll open up voting, at which point hopefully you’ll be able to vote for Coldsnap, or whatever festival you like (we’re not forcing you to do anything). Keep an eye on radio3.cbc.ca and coldsnapfestival.com for more information.

Thanks for your support! And if you haven’t already, take some time to explore the Radio 3 website– it’s a great resource for discovering independent Canadian artists, and connecting with the music community across the country.
